MILO

MILO stands for Millbrook Independent Learning Online. Each class has access to a full set of Chrome books, which they use to access learning online.

We use IXL, which provides the children with a personalised learning pathway. The children use this for both English and Maths. It adjusts questions to what the children can do, so provides a unique pathway for each child. IXL constantly feeds back the children’s progress and allows for gaps in their learning to be filled. Teachers can monitor the children’s progress and offer more support or set additional tasks in real time whilst the children are using the IXL. The diagnostic section also gives teachers a ‘Real-Time Diagnostic’ of where the children are within year groups, highlighting strengths and weaknesses for future learning.
