Our Curriculum Drivers

From careful analysis of our children’s strengths and weaknesses, in order to overcome their barriers, we have identified three key drivers for the curriculum.

  • Place and space – To understand the visual, cultural, social and environmental aspects of places around the world and how these differ from their own locality and how others experience the world.
  • Knowledge– to have a rich and broad vocabulary, to be able to explain and debate, basing this on supporting evidence. To enjoy the challenge and enjoyment of learning and develop a rich and deep subject knowledge.
  • Ambition – To have wishes and dreams for all areas of their lives, including their academic attainment. To take part in a range of activities to find and develop their talents and have ambition for themselves as adults.
